Renfrow Raceway
Renfrow Raceway is a family run business delivering Pinewood Derby track time and race services to groups such as Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, AWANA Clubs, Royal Rangers, corporate team building events, family reunions, etc. We use the popular GrandPrix Race Manager™ software and measure race times to the millisecond. We have participated in over a hundred events over the last several years and we love to watch the look on the kids' faces when their cars are racing down the track. While we primarily work in and around Long Beach MS and Biloxi MS area, we are able to take our show on the road to anywhere within a couple of hours of the long Beach/Biloxi MS area. So, if you need a track for your 1st or 50th derby, get in touch and we can help. No derby is too small, and we haven't seen a group large enough to scare us away.
January thru May is Derby season for many scouting groups. We offer morning and afternoon time slots each weekend during this season to meet the particularly high demand. Scheduling for the Cub Scout Derby season is opened each year at the beginning of September and is first come first served, enabling us to work with as many groups as possible. If you would like to schedule your event during these months, please consider two dates for your event to improve your scheduling opportunities!
Track Details:
• We use a 4 lane Aluminum Best Track - 35 feet w/ Fast Track™ timing system
• Start-to-Finish line length: 33.4 Ft
• Manually operated gate release
We use the popular GrandPrix Race Manager™ software:
• Participant & car registration
• Race plan generation & coordination
• Timer control & race results recording
• Race results and standings reports
• Display of racer name, car number, car name (optional), finish order, finish time & speed
• Projected on a large screen to keep everyone involved
Event location must be indoors, and a minimum area of 50 feet long by 10 feet wide is required. Access to standard 120VAC power is also required.
Payment is due prior to prior to completion of track setup. No deposit is required to reserve the date and track time. Rental includes 45 minutes for track setup, and track breakdown
RATES:
$250 Special Rate Description: Weekday Race start time is 6:00pm or later. Saturday Race start time can be anytime. We assume a two-hour time slot (not including setup & teardown time). Event must be an official race for one of the following groups Cub/Boy/Girl Scouts & AWANA Church Races, Royal Rangers, School Events. This a TWO-HOUR TIME SLOT. If you need additional hour's, it will be and extra $50 per hour.

Flat Fee Description: All Corporate Team Building Events and personal rental for parties regardless of time or day (Price is negotiable depending on the number of cars racing and duration of the race)
Additional Fees if Applicable:
• $60 Additional for 1 hour for practice or testing
• $60 Support for checking in racers and car weight-in etc
• extended race time/ wait time (charge to be determined by Renfrow's Raceway personnel)
In order to ensure a smooth Pinewood Derby event we would like to clearly outline the requirements and responsibilities for both you as an event host, and us as a service provider. These guidelines will ensure that no surprises greet you on the day of your special event. Items under the YOU section are ones in which you as a host need to verify and provide. Items under the US section are items that we will ensure and provide.

YOU:
- Provide via Email a list of the racer’s last name, first name car number and group in which they are racing two days prior to race day in Excel or Word format.
- Provide access to the area 1 hour prior to the race for track setup and tuning.
- Provide access to the area 30 min post-race for track teardown and pack up.
- Provide Event location. Must be indoors with a minimum area of 50 feet long by 10 feet wide. The area must be level and within 50 feet of a standard 120VAC electrical outlet.
- Provide Personnel during race 2 to 4 Adults. Typical personnel responsibilities include an MC to host the event, make announcements and hand out trophies, one to two adults to run cars from finish line to staging table, and one adult to man the staging table.
- Provide a 4 lane, 35' Aluminum Pinewood Derby race track with timer.
- Provide setup, testing and operation of the track and timing system.
- Document and provide race schedules and race results to the race officials.
- Operate track and timer.
- Breakdown and removal of track at end of scheduled time frame.
